This is Ben – a long time Silicon Valley tech engineer.
Over the years, I have been spending most of my time doing web development in the Ecommerce space, worked for companies, like eBay, PayPal etc. Currently I am working for a small startup doing fulfillment services for merchants and brand owners.
One of the constant theme throughout my career is that, I need to setup IT network for my home and for company. Networking is not my strongest suite of skill set. It was a struggle to find the best IT and Wifi infrastructure for scalability, reliability, manageability, and still within a controllable budget. I have tried numerous devices, switches, controllers, gateways, access points, and really felt the struggle to find the perfect product line that’s enterprise level, yet still affordable for small to medium sized business. Over the years, IP network are meant to be expensive and for large business only. Smaller businesses are left out of cold without a reliable solution. Software Defined Networking made long strides in the last decade, and a lot of the manufacturers have also started offering these devices and technologies to smaller business.
