UDMPro: An All-In-One controller for your business!

Unifi has released the Dream Machine series in UDM (Unifi Dream Machine) and UDM-Pro, which feature new UnifiOS, and capable of managing not just your nework, Wifi, but also, your security monitoring, Access/badge system, even your IP Phone service.

Here is a comparison of the two system, vs the traditional Cloud Key System.

It’s redundant	If Wifi is the only thing you worry about, get the UDM. If you really need Protect later, you can either add Cloud Key Gen 2, or you really should have invested in the Unifi Dream Machine Pro!
Unifi Dream Machine Pro	-Cloud controller – Gateway – Protect	– 3 in 1 device great to business to extend – Best throughput in Unifi product line	– The Protect disc storage is still small for business need, up to 16TB – No HD included	This is a must have for business scenarios. The super powerful gateway will last you quite long range to support ever growing network usages. The only short coming us the protect storage support. It’s large enough for home users, but not a enterprise level whatsoever. Should have option to storage videos to NAS or be able to add additional bay for storage or RAID redundancy.

With everything considered, if you thinking about building out a Unifi Wifi network for business, Unifi Dream Machine Pro would be my first choice. Even for some power home users, it’s well worth the $379.00 list price. It’s extensible, and powerful for your future growth!
